Beta sign-ups are now available for Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls Online – an MMORPG based in the world of Oblivion and Skyrim. Selected beta testers will be among the first to enter the game, currently on course for a 2013 release.

Matt Firor, game director of The Elder Scrolls Online, said: “We’re really excited to get the game into players’ hands. We receive invaluable feedback through the beta process, and that helps us ensure that the game will be one of the best online gaming experiences ever offered — one worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise.”

A new trailer has also been released – The Alliances Cinematic. A short description of a part of the storyline has also been revealed – “Tamriel is at war. Three alliances – the Aldmeri Dominion, Daggerfall Covenant, and Ebonheart Pact – square off for control of The Imperial City”.

The Elder Scrolls Online is set to be released this year for PC and Mac. Those interested in signing up for the beta should visit elderscrollsonline.com to register.
