Yesterday Microsoft and Epic Games showed off a new video for the latest in the Gears series: Gears of War Judgement. The video entitled ‘The Guts of Gears’ shows fans an intense preview of the Gears campaign as narrated by Lt. Baird. We’re also treated to some new campaign features which include the dynamic Smart Spawn System, declassified missions and new player rewards.
Baird who is leading Kilo Squad for this Gears instalment narrates The Guts of Gears preview trailer and explains about the new features of the game.
Gamers will be able to play through declassified missions unlocking some of the Gears history that leads to Bairds trail. Through playing these missions you’ll be able to earn stars, a maximum of three stars per mission, more stars means more unlocks and characters become available to you.
Another new addition to the game is the Smart Spawn System (S3), this new add on will mean that enemies will not come back the same, take the Rager for example. The trailer shows him bested by Kilo Squad, but the dude seems to ‘Hulk up’ and evolves into a new Rager. I like that Epic have mixed things up for us a bit.
There are some rather cool pre-order incentives on offer for G4!
For fans that pre-order the game (from participating retailers) will receive the Classic Hammerburst weapon from the previous Gears games. We are aware of the other retailers offering the following incentives
