Tomb-Raider

After the year of gaming excellence that was 2012, how is 2013 ever going to manage to top it? By managed to bring out some more highly anticipated titles, that’s how. This coming year we have the likes of the Tomb Raider reboot, GTA V, and Aliens: Colonial Marines. Do these whet your appetite for more gaming? The following titles are what were looking forward to the most in the next year.

Grand theft auto 5Grand Theft Auto V

A lot of people claim that Saints Row is the superior sandbox/crime game nowadays but I think GTA is going to make a big comeback next year. Mix the story of 4 with the re-playability and fun of San Andreas and Vice City and Rockstar will be onto a winner.

Ni No kuniNi No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

Ni No Kuni is looking to be one of the best RPG’s out next year. For fans of both Anime and Gaming this is going to be a real treat for them, as it has Studio Ghibli’s prominent art style, as well as a long engaging story-line.

Devil May CryDmC

The Devil may Cry reboot. No other game has managed to anger and alienate it’s entire fan-base and then draw them back in. After the first reveal of the new Dante a lot of fans swore off the game. This would be a huge mistake as when we got some hands-on it still retains everything what made Devil May Cry great in the first place.

Aliens colonial marinesAliens: Colonial Marines

This game has been in development in one form or another for so long, many believed it wouldn’t ever be coming out, but it’s time is nearly here. Will it be another Duke Nukem? When we got to play it at Eurogamer, the answer to that is a most definite no. This is a must have for all Aliens fans.

Tomb Raider

This is the franchise that most needed a reboot after the past few entries into the series were less than stellar. This game earned our Game of Eurogamer award, it just took our breaths away how much fun it is to play as a Lara who doesn’t have all the necessary skills and answers. Although it has received some criticism for “that” scene it has managed to shrug off most of the doubts and become one of the most anticipated titles.

All these games are first half of 2013, so what’s coming in the 2nd half? Well it is becoming exceedingly likely to be the next generation of consoles. With the Xbox 720 and Kinect V.2 as well as the PS4 looking extremely likely to be released in time for the Christmas rush, we can expect some big announcements towards the middle of next year.
