The first ever search for Britain’s ‘Best Gamer’ has begun, being funded by Turtle Beach, in an effort to find eSports superstars. Gamers aged 15 and upwards, from all over the UK can enter in an effort to win a prize package and be named the ‘Best Gamer’ this nation has ever seen. Participants must submit a video by May 15th for a chance at a once in a lifetime opportunity. Details below.
Turtle Beach, the creators of many unique and highly effective gaming peripherals, decided an eSport competition would be a great way to celebrate the launch of their SEVEN series gaming headset. Which is the first headset of its kind to be efficient in anything from casual players, to pro-tournament gamers.
The concept is simple, but the prizes given away could help unlock the hardcore gamer within any player. The ten winners will receive the brand new, personalised SEVEN series Turtle Beach headset. Along with private one on one training with professional gamers, such as: Zak Tallis of Team Dignitas, Jonathon Hutchinson (Aka MrDalekJD) the YouTube sensation, specialising in Call of Duty and Alan Brice of Xtreme Gaming, who has competed in tournaments such as Call of Duty world championships.
If you’re interested in the sound of these prizes or think you have what it takes to become the next eSports celebrity, then here’s how to apply. Submit a short video to the Turtle Beach Facebook page, explaining what it is that sets you apart from the rest of Britain’s gamers. You could include some information about your gaming history, accolades or what it is that gives you the means to win.
Entries must be submitted before May 15th, 50 winners will be chosen on May 18th and on May 25th 9 entries will be chosen to compete, however the final entry will be chosen by the Turtle Beach community and will be a completely public decision.
