Upcoming PC and XBLA RPG, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing has a new protagonist after a fan vote. 72% of those polled chose to have ‘The Mysterious Stranger’ Van Helsing as the main character in the game: a character that will “save you from the various creatures of the night, leaving with only a snappy one-liner”.
The game is a dungeon crawler styled RPG based around the legend of Van Helsing. It features a number of gameplay styles including magic, ranged weaponry and close quarters combat. While little is known about the story of the game, developer Neocore Games promises “a game of action and theatrics, larger-than-life heroism and snappy dialogues, with wry humour and various twists on the well-known Gothic clichés.”
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is due to be released in late 2012 with a sequel to follow in 2013.
