Following on from Microsoft’s fresh Xbox One announcement, software giants Ubisoft have also revealed that two of their current anticipated titles, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Watch Dogs, will be available on the new platform later this very same year. In addition, Ubisoft are set to deliver a mix of new episodes of their existing franchises, new IPs and brand new digital titles for Xbox One within the system’s first 12 months on the market. Now that is certainly a lot of support. Yves Guillemot, co-founder and chief executive officer of Ubisoft says:
It will be interesting to see if the current generation releases are significantly different from their next-gen counterparts. Other than perhaps improved graphics and running speeds, will Assassin’s Creed IV deliver more on the One than it does on the 360? Will Watch Dogs feature additional content or time-based exclusives to tempt us to adopt to the next-generation sooner than we would have wanted?
More information about the lineup of games planned for the new system will be available during Ubisoft’s press conference at E3.
