Music lovers unite! Now you can make your own musical tracks on Mix Superstar from the Wii
Downloadable from the Wii Shop for 500 points, you can make your own music tracks anyway you want. The drums, synth, bass, vocals, and effects and so much more music and sounds are already provided for you and from there, it’s as easy as pie. If it’s overwhelming, there is a tutorial at the start to show you how to do it.
Dance, Hip-Hop, and Techno are already provided for you. If they’re not your cup of tea, you can go to the Loop Shop and buy different beats like Brazil, Trip-Hop, House, Electro, R&B, Trance, even Rock, Pop, and Alternative beats and that’s just naming a few! Just make sure you have enough Wii Points if you wanna go with something different. You can try and be more creative and try to mix Hip-Hop with Dance or Techno with Pop. You can even add your own sounds if you have a Logitech USB microphone. I haven’t tested with this so I’m not sure how long vocals or sounds can be.
When you’re done making and saved your track, you can export it to the Mix Superstar website and it’ll turn it into a downloadable MP3 so you can listen to it on your iPod, iPhone, or share it with friends and play at it parties.
It may be a little frustrating for skilled DJs and Beatmasters who like to cut here or past there because there isn’t much editing unless you have a music/sound editor on your computer. I know there were some tracks I wanted to shorten or extend in what I made but sadly, there wasn’t much I can do.
But whether you’re a professional music maker or a novice trying to find the DJ within you, Mix Superstar is a fun and easy way to make your own beats for whichever music genre you like.
