CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher series has now sold over five million copies and is receiving a price drop to celebrate. A few details have also been announced about the third title in the series, currently in development.

The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition for Xbox 360 now retails at £19.99 and both games are 50% off on Steam and GOG (be quick if you want to pick up this deal!).  Let us know if you’ve played the Witcher!

Adam Kicinski, CEO of CD Projekt, said:

“The Witcher 3 will be a crowning achievement for the RPG genre, but I am also proud to announce that the number of previous Witcher games sold has surpassed 5 million copies. The Witcher 2 is already a classic RPG, so if you haven’t played it yet be sure to enhance your role-playing collection and experience an unique gaming adventure” – said Adam Kiciński, CEO of CD PROJEKT SA group.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was also announced recently and is the final instalment in Geralt of Rivia’s story. Monster hunting aspects have been added as well as improved and refined combat. No release date has been announced for the Witcher 3 but look out for more details here on Game Muse as they become available.
